Lawrence B. Evans has served as Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Rive Technology since 2005. Rive is an early stage company commercializing advanced catalyst technology for clean energy applications. Previously, he founded Aspen Technology in 1981 and served as chairman and chief executive officer until 2002. During this time the company grew from a start-up to become the leading provider of software and solutions to the chemical process manufacturing industries. H Scott Fogler

Scott Fogler is Past President of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers for 2010. He received his B.S. from the University of Illinois and his M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Colorado. He is the Ame and Catherine Vennema professor of chemical engineering and the Arthur F. Thurnau professor at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He is also the author of the 'Elements of Chemical Reaction Engineering', which is the dominant book in this area worldwide, and co-author with Steven LeBlanc of the book 'Strategies for Creative Problem Solving'.
