Knowledge of how mixing affects the course of processes as well as the final process results is important for success in process development and scale-up of chemical processes. The requisite knowledge can be developed by carefully examining the physicochemical phenomena occurring in the process and understanding what’s important.
In this webinar, the fourth in the series on industrial mixing, the focus is on key steps in addressing the needs for mixing in process development, scale-up and design. These are illustrated with several examples including thought experiments, as well as ideas and approaches for lab studies and modeling designed to gain understanding of the controlling hydrodynamic environment needed for process success. Challenges and opportunities for success are also highlighted.
Process research and development personnel and process engineers will find the insights and awareness gained from this webinar useful in their roles.
This is the fourth in a multi-part series on Industrial Mixing. Please note that each webinar in the series requires separate registration, and has been designed to function as both a standalone presentation and a component in the series. The other webinars in the series are Fluid Mixing: Still Needed for the Process Industries in the 21st Century, Identifying Mixing Problems, and Mixing Scale-Up: Small Mistakes Mean Big Success.
