Traditional personal competencies in technology, business, communication, leadership, analytical skills, and industry know-how are sufficient in a stagnant or slow-changing environment. That is not where we are today and it is not where we will be for the rest of your career. Winners will be determined by their ability to sense the need for change, to evaluate potential responses, and to execute and implement their new strategies. Change management becomes the new essential whether your career path follows a technology focus or is more aimed at business issues.
The essential skills of a change manager are straight-forward, logical, and easily learned. And yet, if this process is as easy as I suggest, why do most change initiatives fail? The root causes are typically failure to use the tools and weak leadership from the top. Unfortunately, the iceberg in the path of change is 90% below the water line, and that 90% is cultural resistance.
This webinar presents best practices and checklists that allow you to determine readiness for change and likelihood of success. After that, it is practice, practice, practice.
