The Dow Hydrocarbons Business has a thorough process for managing excellent EHS performance during Turnarounds. We name an EHS Focal Point for each Turnaround 2 years in advance. A Turnaround EHS Preparation and Execution plan is developed and followed. An EHS Readiness Assessment is conducted with a team of experts from the various locations around the globe 3 to 6 months in advance of execution. Follow up items are documented and corrected. Then the plan is executed with sufficient oversight.
This paper will describe the plan and assessment process and oversight details during execution.
