Bio
Prof. Wei-Shou Hu is a Distinguished McKnight University Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at the University of Minnesota (Phone: (612) 625-0546; Fax: (612) 626-7246; E-mail: acre@cems.umn.edu ). His research currently focuses on a broad range of cell culture engineering, especially the elucidation of gene-trait relationships through transcriptome and proteome analysis, mining of large scale bioprocess data and mammalian cell metabolism. He holds a BS in Agricultural Chemistry from National Taiwan University, and SM and PhD degrees in Biochemical Engineering from MIT. He is a member of AIChE and currently serves on the advisory board of the Society for Biological Engineering.
