Ven Pinjala

Ven Pinjala currently holds the position of Director, Business Operations at Aspen Technology. In this role he manages the growth of the software business in the Americas region. Previously he held the position of Senior Principal Business Consultant providing Sales/Marketing support. Ven has extensive experience in business development in the Chemical industry - specializing in process simulation, process development / scale-up / design and business support. He has proven expertise in leading technical projects from inception to completion and providing marketing, business development, and manufacturing / customer support. Prior to joining AspenTech, Ven worked for Union Carbide, Koch and Exxon where he developed/commercialized new technologies such as reactive distillation for the production of ethers. He also authored a patent and several publications. Ven has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston. He currently serves on the Industrial Advisory Board of the department of Chemical and BioMolecular Engineering at the University of Houston. He is a member of AIChE since 1981.
