Tim Overton
Bio
Tim Overton is the Chief Process Safety Engineer for the Dow Chemical Company. Tim received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas, and has nearly 30 years of experience in the chemical industry. Tim became actively involved in AIChE Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) in 2000, participating in numerous projects and workshops. Since 2006, Tim has been leading the CCPS project to develop and implement lagging, leading, and near-miss metrics of Process Safety performance that can be used by companies and associations to help drive continual improvement in process safety.
