Tim Anderson
Bio
Tim Anderson is a Distinguished Professor at the Univ. of Florida and Director of the statewide Florida Energy Systems Consortium. He received his education in chemical engineering from Iowa State Univ. (BS) and the Univ. of California, Berkeley (MS, PhD). Tim’s career has allowed him to pursue discipline research (electronic materials processing with over 230 publications and seven patents), education research (over 25 publications), and administration (department chair, dean of research). He is editor of the journal Chemical Engineering Education, a past consulting editor of AIChE Journal, and a Fellow of AIChE and ASEE.
He has a continuous record of professional service to AIChE over the past 30 years, including serving as a founding member and chair of the Chemical Engineering Technology Operating Council, program chair for the 1995 Annual Meeting, chair of the Computational Molecular Science and Engineering Forum, chair of the Executive Board of the Program Committee, and a leader of the Materials Engineering and Sciences Div., and he helped to establish the electronic materials programming area 8e. He is currently a member of the AIChE Foundation Board of Trustees.
