Dr. Husson is a tenured full professor in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Clemson University and is President and Founder of Purilogics, LLC. Over the course of his career, Dr. Husson has managed over 30 sponsored research projects, published 70 journal articles and book chapters, received 4 patents, and he and his group have delivered over 200 presentations.
Dr. Husson joined the faculty at Clemson after completing his PhD with Separations Division Founder Jud King in chemical engineering at the University of California, Berkeley in 1998. His current research spans the fields of membrane science, interfacial engineering, and chemical separations.
His research awards include a National Science Foundation Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and the inaugural FRI/John G. Kunesh Award from the AICHE Separations Division. He is a Director and Executive Committee Member of the NAMS and a Director of the Separations Division of AICHE. He is Associate Editor of Separation Science and Technology, and handles all membrane related manuscripts submitted to this journal.
