Makarand Joshi
Bio
Makarand (Raj) Joshi is Associate Director of Business Consulting in the Global Science, Technology, and Commercialization organization at Merck & Co. in New Jersey. He has extensive experience in R&D and manufacture of pharmaceuticals and medical devices and has led a broad range of activities from concept identification through product development to launch and supply.
Raj has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and started his career in research. Subsequently he moved to development and then to manufacturing. Midway in his career he obtained an MBA degree from Lehigh University. He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
