Fran Schultz is recently retired from SABIC (Saudi Arabia Basic Industries Corp.). Fran has spent over 20 years in the Chemical - Plastics industry and has an additional 20 years in the Power and Aerospace Industries. He has held managerial postions in most aspects of manufacturing and production. His last 20 years has been in the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security areas working for GE Plastics and SABIC .
Fran worked as the Global Process Safety Manager GE Plastics, responsible for all global facilities, implementing and maintaining process safety requirements. With SABIC's acquisition of GE Plastics, he continued to lead the Process Safety programs for SABIC Americas and was appointed as the co-lead for the Process Safety Gloabl Expert Council. He also was the senior lead investigator for significant process incidents while at GE and SABIC. He was also a member of the SABIC's global process safety benchmarking initiative which was initiated to review and improve their process safety program. This review included gal analysis of many global industrial process saftey programs and standards including the CCPS book - Guidelines for Process Safety Risk Management.
He has been a long time member of CCPS and has contributed to a number of their Guidelines and Publications.
