MSc by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 1973, PhD by the University of Cambridge, England, 1977, and pos-doc at the Universite de Technologie de Compiegne, France, 1998-1990, at the lab of Technologie Enzymatique. Leads the Group of Biocatalysis and Biochemical Processes at the graduate program on Chemical Engineering and participates at the graduate program of Food Science in the Center of Agricultural Sciences, State University of Maringa. Shared with colleagues the translation to Portuguese language two books on Chemical Reaction Engineering by Professor H. Scott Fogler, University of Michigan (Elements of Chemical Reaction Engineering, 3rd Ed. and Essentials of Chemical Reaction Engineering, 1st Ed.).
