Annette Johnston
Bio
Annette Johnston is Senior Project Manager at Abbott Laboratories Diagnostics Div. (North Chicago, IL), where she has worked for over 20 years in development, compliance, engineering, and manufacturing roles. She was a design and research engineer at Monsanto, and gained experience in the specialty chemicals industry. She received her BS in chemical engineering from the Univ. of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and is working toward a Master’s degree in engineering management at Northwestern Univ. In 30 years of practice, she has been active in AIChE on both the local and national levels.
She has chaired the St. Louis Section and is currently past chair of the Chicago Section, where she has produced several symposia. She has served as Program Chair for the Process Development Div., and was Program Chair for AIChE’s 2010 Spring Meeting, receiving AIChE’s Lappin Program Committee Service Award in 2011. She currently chairs the Research and New Technology Committee.
