Requests for Older Material

  • To request permission to use material from CEP Magazine issues published between 1947-1956 click here
  • To request permission to reprint or to use copyrighted material from AIChE's journals before January 2004 (or before September 2008 for Biotechnology Progress), please send your requests in writing to:

In your request:

  • Include the title, author, publication name, publication date, page number(s), and the expected quantity of copies to be distributed.
  • Please explain where and how the material will be used (e.g. incorporated in an article or book, distributed as a marketing or teaching tool, etc).

Please allow up to three weeks for your request to be processed.

You can make requests for material in the AIChE Journal, Environmental Progress & Sustainable Energy, and Process Safety Progress that has been published since January 2004 or published in Biotechnology Progress since September 2008 by following the instructions on the pages linked to Wiley below. Requests related to material published prior to that date should be directed to the AIChE contact at the top of the page.

Requests for Electronic Versions

You will also need permission if you wish to post electronic versions of articles on the Web or internal networks. In your permission request, directed to the AIChE contact information at the top of this page, please indicate the estimated number of users who will have access to the material.

Individual articles may be downloaded from AIChE's Web site for personal use, provided a fee of $25.00 per article is paid to the Copyright Clearance Center, 222 Rosewood Drive, Danvers, MA 01923.
