J. Steven Arendt is a vice president of ABS Consulting where he specializes in risk management and process safety. He has 30+ years experience in chemical process safety and risk management and has been the contractor on several CCPS book projects, including Guidelines for Risk-based Process Safety Management

Scott Berger, is Executive Director of CCPS and Director of AIChE Chemicals and Programming efforts.  Scott began his career at Rohm and Haas where he held a range of positions in R&D, engineering, production, and Environment, Health and Safety.  He then worked at Owens Corning where he held positions in Environment, Health and Safety, including Director of Strategic EHS management, before coming to AIChE and CCPS in 2001.
