PREPARING FOR OSHA'S CHEMICAL NEP INSPECTIONS

On July 27, 2009, OSHA issued a National Emphasis Program for the chemical industry ("the Chemical NEP"). Pursuant to the Chemical NEP, OSHA will conduct PSM inspections of numerous chemical facilities.

On Thursday, December 3, from 1-3 pm ET, AIChE's Center for Chemical Process Safety will host a webinar to prepare you for these inspections.*

This informative webinar will provide an overview of OSHA's Chemical NEP, and outline recommended proactive measures to prepare for a Chemical NEP inspection. This information will assist you in making your facilities safer and in reducing your potential OSHA liability. These proactive measures will focus on the lessons learned from the speakers' extensive experience with the PSM Standard and with OSHA's current National Emphasis Program for the refining industry, particularly the citation patterns, OSHA's interpretations of the PSM Standard, and its aggressive use of industry standards.
