A15/81 system

The conventional method for measuring sulfide concentrations in water is to use analyzers that employ selective ion electrodes (SIE) for sensing. While providing adequate sensitivity, poor-quality samples make fouling of the analytical system a major concern. The A15/81 system overcomes this problem by employing a polagraphic H2S gas sensor that never comes into contact with the sample; only the gas stream containing the stripped H2S reaches the sensor. The device provides extremely high measurement sensitivity down to low parts-per-billion levels.

Water and Wastewater Treatment Systems

These water and wastewater treatment systems contain a rugged, durable bin activator with a secondary baffle that vibrates at a different amplitude to guarantee continuous flow of product. They also feature a MetaTech feeder with only two or three moving parts, ensuring simple maintenance, and an agitator/conditioner screw that completely fills the product feed screw for accuracies to ±1%. The bin activators are available in sizes from 2 ft to 16 ft in diameter. MetaTech feeders are available in carbon or stainless (Type 304 or Type 316) steel, with 1-in. to 6-in. screws.

Mobigrip

Mobigrip consists of an adhesive disc with an elastic finger loop that easily attaches to portable electronic devices to keep them from slipping from users’ hands. This accessory can be personalized with a custom-designed disc. Its use can save money by preventing costs associated with replacing or repairing broken devices.

Senscient ELDS Open-Path Gas Detectors (OPGD) 2000 and 1000 Series detector, transmitter and receiver units

The Senscient ELDS Open-Path Gas Detectors (OPGD) 2000 and 1000 Series detector, transmitter and receiver units have received CSA and BASEEFA 10ATEX0066X hazardous area certifications, enabling their use in potentially explosive or hazardous environments in the U.S., Canada and Europe. They are designed for use in challenging environments, such as offshore platforms, petrochemical facilities and refineries, and other industries handling toxic or flammable gases.

StarLite FOAM safety eyewear

StarLite FOAM safety eyewear is the newest member of the StarLite family of eye-protection products. It is designed with a soft foam edge that both blocks dirt and debris and helps to absorb perspiration and protect workers in warm, dusty environments. The scratch-resistant polycarbonate lens blocks more than 99.9% of UV-A, UV-B and UV-C light. It also prevents fogging when workers move between warm and air-conditioned environments. The lightweight eyewear meets the ANSI Z87.1+ standard.

Purair vertical-flow cabinets

Purair vertical-flow cabinets guide a laminar flow of air directly toward the work surface. An ultra-low-penetration air (ULPA) filter is mounted above the work surface, and perforations in the rear wall remove a small amount of air to minimize turbulence. The cabinets are available in 36-in., 48-in. and 72-in. widths. All three models provide a nominal filter face velocity of 0–45 m/s (90 ft/min), which ensures a sufficient number of air changes for maintaining cleanliness within the work zone.

Fire Safety Kit

This fire safety kit is made to protect fluid storage and dispensing systems. It replaces the standard polyvinyl chloride (PVC) sight gage found on the front of the containers with a fire-resistant glass sight gage that is equipped with ball check fittings at both ends to prevent product spillage in case the glass breaks. Below the containers, the standard PVC hose is replaced with a steel hose that connects to a fusible link valve with a spring-activated handle.

OneShot Plus DD

Under a recently signed agreement, Sterifide Laboratories will distribute PURE Bioscience’s silver dihydrogen citrate (SDC)-based disinfectant as OneShot Plus DD. It kills standard bacteria in under 30 s, fungi in 10 min., HIV Type I in 30 s, and methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and vancomycin-resistant enterococci (VRE) in only 2 min. SDC disinfectant may be used in manufacturing facilities to kill fungus and bacteria in machinery oil, eliminating the need to shut down oil-consuming machinery to drain contaminated oil.

ST1 safety enclosure

The ST1 safety enclosure range is a containment system that has been designed to protect the analyst during the weighing process. The system has been performance-tested for the weighing of active drug compounds. The range has a chemical-resistant marble base that provides stability, and is available with an a1-safetech safe change local extraction and filtration system. Alternatively, it can connect directly to an in-house extraction or independent fan filtration. Each unit includes a dual-point, datalogging alarm that ensures operator safety.

SteriMax system

The SteriMax system for sterilizing loops, needles and instruments is suitable for use in laboratories and safety cabinets where gases and open flames are not permitted or are unavailable. The tube into which the items to be sterilized are inserted is made of wear-resistant quartz glass, and reaches its optimal temperature of 1,650°F after only a few minutes. Sterilization requires only insertion into the quartz tube and the passage of 5–7 s. The system’s 100% stainless steel design allows it to withstand extreme laboratory conditions.
