AIChE’s 2013 Awards Gala will be held on Thursday, November 21, in New York City. This year’s gala, which celebrates excellence in advancing engineering ethics, will honor David M. Cote, Chairman and CEO of Honeywell; David T. Seaton, Chairman and CEO of Fluor; and Stephen F. Angel, Chairman, President and CEO of Praxair.

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) has announced formation of a new technology group: the International Society for Water Solutions (ISWS). The society provides a forum for communication and networking among engineers and scientists who share interests in water research and water technology development, especially industrial water use and reuse.
