Permitting a new plant, process, or modification can be daunting task. Early presentation and meetings with the Agency can help you climb the paperwork hill. In this session, a brief description of the various Bureaus and how they interact will be presented. Further information will be provided on the Bureau of Air which has the most complex rules and regulations.
Field Operations section performs the enforcement on behalf of the State and the Federal government.In addition to their regular duties, they carry on the special requests for inspections for the Citizens of Illinois as well as the USEPA. Non-compliance issues will be discussed as to how they are evaluated and depending on the seriousness, how they are ultimately resolved. The permitting process will be discussed as to how to tackle a new source, source modification as well as process modifications.
