Mariola Kopcinski is Global Strategic Marketing Director at FMC Co. where her key role is to identify, evaluate and lead growth through the open innovation model at an Agricultural Chemical business. She also represents this business within FMC’s Sustainability Council and drives sustainability business integration efforts. Mariola started her career in Agricultural Chemicals at Rohm and Haas Co, where she was the Business Manager of a start-up post- harvest chemical treatment business. While working at DuPont Co, her roles included strategy development for BioMax and CoolMax brands, and co-development of DuPont Food Industry Enterprise approach within the Ag and Nutrition Platform, followed by management of their global fungicides portfolio. She has also been Strategic Marketing Manager at Syngenta Co., in Basel, Switzerland, where she worked on the team developing global strategy for combined seed and crop protection business. Mariola was born in Poland, where she earned her Ph.D. and M.S. in biochemistry in Seed Technology at Poznan University. Her post-doctoral position at Cornell University was in the area of seed anatomy and biocontrol. She also holds a MBA in finance from the University of Rochester, and marketing training from Kellogg and Insead. She is an author of several research articles and has presented at many technical and business meetings.
