MAC @25 Anniversary

This year, AIChE’s Minority Affairs Committee (MAC) marks 25 years of leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion in AIChE and the chemical engineering profession.

Join the committee and the AIChE Foundation as we celebrate the committee’s significant achievements and set our sights on an even brighter future for MAC, AIChE, and the profession.

MAC@ 25 Anniversary Highlights At-A-Glance

  • The Archive Project: Testimonials from leaders and participants, attesting to the progress and contributions made by the committee and its active members since MAC’s founding in 1990. These perspectives are being incorporated into an archive project, both on the web and in print, consisting of oral and first-person histories.
  • MAC @ 25 Reception: A party hosted by MAC and the AIChE Foundation to celebrate the committees’ history and continued influence for the future took place Monday, November 9th, 8pm, AIChE 2015 Annual Meeting, Salt Lake City, UT.
  • Pioneers of Diversity Awards Ceremony: Invited talks and recognition of individuals who have most influenced the success of MAC, AIChE, and the profession. This took place Monday, November 9th, 12:30pm, AIChE 2015 Annual Meeting, Salt Lake City, UT.
  • MAC Endowment Fund: MAC and the AIChE Foundation are working together to commemorate the committee’s significant achievements and build for the future by launching a MAC Endowment Fund to provide MAC opportunities to more fully deliver its mission by providing a secure and reliable source of funding for the MAC Scholarship Program. Each gift to the MAC Endowment Fund will better position AIChE to support and expand education and training of all minority chemical engineers.  Learn more about the MAC Endowment Fund
