Dr. Dale Keairns
Dale Keairns currently serves on the AIChE Board of Directors and is a Senior Advisory Engineer with Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC). SAIC is part of RDS LLC, a support contractor with the DOE National Energy Technology Laboratory. Dale has worked on energy and environmental technology, business and policy issues for over 35 years. Dr. Dale Keairns earned his MS and PhD in Chemical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and completed his undergraduate study in ChE at Oklahoma State University. He has over 35 years experience in industry, consulting and teaching as well as service through professional society initiatives. He has 32 years experience with Westinghouse that included technical and financial responsibility for research and development, responsibility for business planning and responsibility for a commercial business. As a senior advisor with SAIC, he has led DOE project support activities to develop technology plans for the next generation of coal based energy systems. Dr. Keairns is the author of over 150 publications.
