Dr. Amos Avidan
Amos Avidan is a Principal Vice President, a Bechtel Fellow, and manager of Petroleum & Chemicals Technologies at Bechtel Corporation. Avidan has more than 23 years of experience in petroleum refining, LNG, and synthetic fuels. Avidan started his career with Mobil Corporation, where he managed downstream technologies such as catalytic cracking and modeling and advanced control. Later on, he was a manager of upstream engineering, and vice president of LNG technology. Avidan currently serves a Director of AIChE and Chair of the AIChE Commission on Energy Challenges. Avidan obtained a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from the City University of New York and has authored and co-authored more than 60 publications and 31 US patents.
