Are Legal Processes Compatible with Improving Process Safety?

The traditional view is that the use of lawyers in incident investigations creates secrecy and inhibits the opportunities for learning. The conclusion being that lawyers and legal involvement are bad for safety. But is that reputation actually justified? Are privileged investigations actually bad for safety?

This presentation will explore this issue. Its conclusions may surprise you.
