Learning Safe Work Practices from Other Companies' Incidents

This presentation will discuss two major incidents that made the local “Live at 5”, major broadcast and cable lead stories. Both involve transportation incidents but the event leading to the incident can occur on land and in the home. The first incident occurred in 1998 yet the cause of the incident is still one of the top 5 causes of fire fatalities in the United States. The second was one of the first distracted driving incidents to be studied and resulted in major changes in shipping practices in the world.
