Please join us on a tour of Urban Chestnut Brewing Company (UCBC), an unconventional-minded yet tradition-oriented brewer of craft beer!  Founded in early 2011, it brews both small batches of artisanal, modern American beers (their Revolution series) and classically-crafted European styles (their Reverence series).  Founders, Florian Kuplent - a German born and trained brew master with extensive experience at both small breweries as well as worldwide - and David Wolfe - a 20+ year beer industry member - both worked with the world’s largest, Anheuser-Busch.

Their unique brewing philosophy is touted as Beer Divergence—a ‘new world meets old world’ brewing approach wherein UCBC contributes to the ‘revolution’ of craft beer with artisanal creations of modern American beers, and pays ‘reverence’ to the heritage of beer with classically-crafted offerings of timeless European beer styles.

We’ll tour their newest facility – a $10MM project increasing Urban Chestnut’s current annual brewing capacity to about 30,000 barrels, while further enhancing an area within the City of St. Louis that has undergone significant transformation over the last several years (Forest Park Southeast, aka “The Grove”).  We’ll also sample some of their new world ~ old world or ‘Revolution and Reverence’ brews!
