2016-2017 Mid-Michigan AIChE Kick-Off Meeting

Chemical Engineers in Mid-Michigan Invite You to Annual MMAIChE Kick-off Meeting               

You’re invited to the kick-off meeting of the Mid-Michigan Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (MMAIChE) on Thursday, September 22nd from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Tri-City Brewing Company (3020 N Water St, Bay City, MI 48708). Join us for live music, appetizers and drinks while meeting a variety of chemical engineers and 2016/2017 MMAIChE officers in a casual setting.

Highlights of the evening will include brewery tours by Kevin Peil (a chemical engineer), musical entertainment provided by saxophonist (and chemical engineer) John Anderson and friends, announcement of the 2016-2017 MMAIChE Seminar Series, and opportunities to get involved with the section. 

The Mid-Michigan Section of AIChE was founded in 1952 to promote opportunities for chemical engineers and other chemical professionals in the Great Lakes Bay Region and to work with the local community to improve the understanding of science and technology and their impact on society. The Section provides a series of lectures during the year and has an active education outreach program. The Section also annually provides a scholarship for a high school student to attend the Summer Youth Program at Michigan Technological University, as well as a scholarship to study chemical engineering in college, and gives demonstrations of science and technology for students in the local middle schools.
