This opportunity will provide excellent work experience in an operating plant as the environmental compliance professional or to build on established skills and knowledge in multi-media compliance role. Often partnering with the plant leader and corporate technical experts this role will be tasked with developing and managing multi-media compliance programs, systems and tools. Our client is a large and diverse manufacturing company that offers professional growth and development as well as advancement opportunities.

Responsibilities for this position include:

Develop strong competencies in all areas of environmental compliance for an industry leader at one of their many U.S. based plants. This role will be the site technical and compliance expert in the areas of air, water and waste compliance and program management. Will work closely with the plant leader on the implementation of the environmental system, will prepare and submit regulatory reports, will collaborate with corporate environmental and business leaders for guidance and support of all environmental related initiatives and develop and manage compliance projects.

Requirements:

Minimum requirements include a BS in Environmental or other Engineering fields and at least (1) year of practical experience. Environmental compliance professionals with manufacturing or chemical process plant and (3) years of environmental air compliance experience are preferred.

Corporate Process Engineer

Great opportunity to be a part of a central engineering group for a well-respected global chemical company. This position will be part of the Process Engineering group supporting multiple capital projects simultaneously as well as assist manufacturing facilities to apply innovation and develop new processes and improve current operations. Travel will be approximately 30% domestic and international.

Responsibilities for this position include:

This role will prepare project scope packages and formal engineering design packages for the process portion of capital projects, develop process and equipment engineering procedures and standards, conduct process engineering analysis and studies, prepare reports, and provide economically supported process recommendations.  The successful candidate may coordinate small teams of professionals, supervise contract service personnel, and implement innovative solutions to improve current manufacturing technology.

Requirements:

BS or MS in Chemical Engineering is required and 5+ years of Process Design Engineering experience in the chemical manufacturing industry.  Must have experience designing process systems, developing process flow diagrams, developing piping and instrumentation diagrams, writing equipment and control specifications, performing system optimization activities,  and the basic concepts of performing process material and energy balances.  Hands-on field experience in chemical manufacturing plants with process and equipment commissioning, start- up, performance testing, and troubleshooting activities. Familiarity with process simulation software, DCS, PLC, or single loop control systems a plus.  Experience with batch processing activities, unsaturated polyester resins, phenolics, acrylics, emulsions, or adhesives a plus. International experience in China or Europe is also a plus.
