Young Professional Committee Has Gone SOCIAL!

Let’s face it, how many times a day do we check our social networks for notifications or tweets? Probably at least once a day. We all know how easy it is to get sucked into the realm of reading status updates, news links, and watching videos when browsing your favorite social site. Think how many times you scrolled past a funny meme or picture.

Now imagine YPC trending in those feeds.

We have made this a reality - YPC now has a presence on Facebook! We will be using AIChE’s already extensive network of 10,600 likes to extend our reach. The AIChE and ChEnected Facebook pages will be utilized to promote YPC events, newsletters, local sections, and much more!!

In addition, this will be a great asset to YPC at upcoming conferences. During conferences YPC holds various mixers, meet and greets, workshops, and panel discussions. In the future, the YPC Publications Committee will announce and invite you to events! Look for events at the Student Conference and Annual Meeting this year in Atlanta.

For those YPs who aren’t Facebook aficionados, not to worry we will also be on Twitter soon! YPC will be looking at developing our own hashtag and will announce it before the 2014 Student Conference.
