Fellows

Fellows are elite members of AIChE who have been practicing chemical engineering for normally 25 years or more, and have been a Member for at least ten years.

As described in AIChE's Constitution and By-laws, Fellows shall have been in chemical engineering practice for an adequate period of time to demonstrate long-term excellence, normally 25 years or more, and shall have been a member [of AIChE] for at least ten years and a Senior Member for at least 3 years. Becoming a Fellow shall be recognition of professional attainment, and significant accomplishment in engineering.

Fellows' Council

The Fellows Council is the leadership group responsible for coordination of all organized activities of Fellows within the Institute.

Becoming a Fellow

A Senior Member who has satisfied the Bylaw requirements and has demonstrated significant accomplishments in, and contributions to, the profession may be nominated for consideration to be elected Fellow.
