Roger E. Beecham is a partner in the Dallas office of Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff and Miller, LLP and is head of the firm’s Energy Group. Mr. Beecham began his career working for a major oil and gas company. He is experienced in dealing with acquisitions, exploration and production of non-producing and producing oil and gas properties including fee lands, Indian lands, and state and federal lands. Mr. Beecham has been involved with all aspects of mineral titles, leases, leasing, seismic agreements, exploration agreements, drilling contracts, joint operating agreements, participation agreements, oil and gas purchase and sales contracts, energy lending transactions, natural gas transportation agreements, gas processing agreements, and pooling and unitization agreements. He also practices Oil and Gas Litigation and Water Law. Mr. Beecham, who is licensed in Texas, Oklahoma and in all Federal Courts in Texas, received his B. S. Civil Engineering from Oklahoma State University and J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen, Dallas Association of Petroleum Landmen, Dallas Bar Association and American Bar Association. Mr. Beecham is currently the Chair of the Dallas Bar Association’s Energy Section is serving on the Founders Committee for the proposed University of North Texas Law School and is a member of the Board of Governors for the Oklahoma State University Foundation.
