Nick Hutson is a Senior Chemical Engineer with the Energy Strategies Group (ESG) in the U.S. EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation (OAR) in Research Triangle Park, NC. Dr. Hutson was previously, for 10 years, a staff researcher in the Air Pollution Prevention & Control Division in U.S. EPA’s Office of Research & Development (OAR). During that time, Dr. Hutson developed and evaluated novel control technologies for mitigation of criteria, toxic and greenhouse gas pollutants from stationary sources. Prior to that Dr. Hutson was a staff researcher in the Waste Management and Environmental Technologies Division at the Savannah River National Laboratory (Aiken, SC). Dr. Hutson received BS and MS degrees from the University of Tennessee and a PhD from the University of Michigan – all in chemical engineering.
