Laura Jaji

Laura Jaji is a Process Engineer, E.I.T at Shell Albian Sands, the mining operation portion of the Athabasca Oil Sands Projects (AOSP) consisting of the Muskeg River and Jackpine Mines.  Production from these mining and extraction operations accounts for 17 % of Canada's total oil production. She also has experience with Alberta's sour gas assets as a Field engineer supporting the Limestone Field of Shell Canada's Central Alberta Business (CAB) Unit and as a Unit Engineer supporting the Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU) of the Caroline Gas Plant, also a part of Shell Canada CAB Unit.

Having started with Shell the same year of graduation, Laura is keenly aware of what it takes to transfer success from the University library to the plant site and head office. Laura is a part of the executive for the New Professionals Network Canada as well as the lead for "Intern Away Day", coaching new graduates and students as they move from Backpacks to Briefcase, both initiatives within Shell.
