David Wishnick

David grew up in Chicago's Northern Suburbs and graduated with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in 2002.

After working in the pharmaceutical validation market in the Chicagoland area until 2005, he moved to Seattle, WA, and began a MBA program at Seattle University part-time while working in technical sales for ChemPoint, a specialty chemical distributor.

In 2007, David moved on to a small chemical providor of wastewater solutions, CESCO Solutions, where he spent 3 years. This year, he became a full-time MBA student and will be finishing that program this winter (winter quarter of 2010). Currently he is completing a MBA intership at the University of Washington where he is evaluating the commercialization viability of their water technology.

Our AIChE Fellows/Young Professionals Mentoring Pilot Program was a great success last year, thanks to the Fellows and Young Professionals who participated, and we hope to change aspirations into results for a whole new group of participants this year. We will begin a second round of the Fellows/Young Professionals Mentoring Program in February 2012 and hope that you will take part.

AIChE Mentorship Program: Call for Mentees

Mentorship is a type of networking. Networking is the deliberate and systematic process of building and maintaining relationships based on mutual benefit. Research suggests that mentorship is a critical networking tool that can be an effective way to achieve career growth as well as contribute to your own psychological wellbeing. For the second year, The Young Professional Committee (YPC) and The Fellows Committee will be collaborating, and piloting a mentor program.
