Recognizes an individual's outstanding service and leadership in guiding the activities of an AIChE student chapter in accordance with AIChE principles.
A plaque and a $500 travel allowance to attend the Annual Meeting. In addition, a $500 unrestricted grant is given to the chemical engineering department at the advisor's school.
Selection criteria include:
- Outstanding leadership as an advisor, particularly in creating enthusiasm and professionalism among the chapter members.
- Summary of chapter activities.
- Endorsement of the nomination by the head of the chemical engineering department is required.
- Award winners cannot be re-nominated for at least ten years.
Nominee minimum qualifications for eligibility:
- Advisor of a chartered AIChE Student Chapter for at least the last three years.
- Not an Outstanding Student Chapter Advisor within the last ten years.
- National member of AIChE for at least the last three years.

Nomination materials:
Nomination form from at least an individual(s) at the Advisor's institution. Examples of those providing the nomination letter include, but are not limited to, individual student chapter members, the entire student chapter, department colleagues, and department chair. The nomination must address all of the selection criteria described in the nomination materials:
- Nomination Form (see below).
- A copy of the Chapter’s annual reports for the last three years.
- A signature by the department chair, endorsing the nomination form.
- If desired, additional supporting materials may be included, but may not exceed 4 pages.
