Committee Awards

Institute committees give a wide range of awards to individuals and groups for technical program contributions, public relations, government relations, and contributions to minority affairs, among other achievements.

Provisions, Eligibility, & Nominations

Program Committee's John A. Tallmadge Award for Contributions to Coating Technology

Recognizes an individual's significant contributions to the understanding or improvement of the technology of the coating of continuous webs. The award is presented bi-annually, in even numbered years.

Program Committee's William H. Doyle Award

The Program Committee and the Safety & Health Division presents this award in memory of Bill Doyle. He was a founder of the AIChE Loss Prevention Symposium series and contributed greatly to the knowledge and understanding of loss prevention in the chemical industry for over 50 years.

Shining Star Award

The Local Sections Committee and Career and Education Operating Council are proud to administer the Shining Star Award which recognizes outstanding volunteerism at the AIChE local section level and encourages members to become more involved in local section activities.

Women's Initiatives Committee's (WIC) Mentorship Excellence Award

Recognizes women faculty who have contributed to the development of the next generation of chemical engineers through outstanding mentoring.

Women's Initiatives Committee's (WIC) Travel Award Program

Supports travel for female graduate students, and post-doctoral associates to attend the AIChE Annual Conference.
