Arrhenius Equation

The reaction rate constant (k) is a function of temperature (T). This function is represented by the Arrhenius equation

k = k* o exp(-Ea/RT).

The pre-exponential factor (k*) and the activation energy (Ea) are approximately constant for a simple reaction.
