Robert Anderson is a chemical engineering graduate of IIT who later earned a Master of Management degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. After a 37 year industrial career with UOP LLC where he served as managing director of several European subsidiaries, vice president of quality and productivity, and vice president of marketing, he joined IIT nine years ago to provide an industrial context to the university's technology commercialization initiative. In that capacity he works with students and faculty in entrepreneurship, with companies seeking IIT's assistance with real-world problems, and with startup companies at IIT's incubator. He is involved with leadership of several startup companies.
In addition to his role as IIT's Director of Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property, Bob also teaches a graduate course in energy and environmental policy and a graduate course in intellectual property and entrepreneurship.
