Many fascinating books and articles have been written about troubleshooting process operations and engineering cases, and how they were solved. But the focus of this webinar is on you - and how you can polish your problem solving skills to use when troubleshooting engineering and process problems.

First, Professor Woods reviews the fundamentals of problem solving, and explores the unique characteristics of troubleshooting. He discusses individual personality and style, as well as systematic strategies to problem solving. He reveals a 6-stage process that offers a well-grounded, scientific approach to problem solving.

He introduces a worksheet that has been designed specifically for troubleshooting, and uses it to map out an example case problem. Guidelines are given about the target behaviors that characterize successful troubleshooters.

Professor Woods acts as a coach, guiding you through a process that matches your unique style. His goal is to help you recognize and polish your current approach to solving trouble shooting problems.
