Climate Change: Engineering R/D Needed!
- Type: Archived Webinar
There are large uncertainties in the climate change debate that reflect the absence of the engineering community. These uncertainties call into question some of the policy options being discussed, and point out the need for engineering research and development. This presentation will illustrate how chemical engineers can contribute to the debate and - by doing so - help resolve uncertainties, promote technologies to mitigate the consequences of global warming, and develop approaches for adaptation to a warmer world.
Dr. M. J. Plodinec is the Science Advisor of the Savannah River National Laboratory. In this role, he is responsible for fostering strategic partnerships with academia and industry to advance science and technology.
