• Build an event or activity around your city’s special “chemistry.”
   
• Run a student video contest (on You Tube).
   
• Develop a “Top 40” list of chemistry-related songs.
   
• Work with local schools on the IUPAC-sponsored international experiment (in development)
   
• Leverage activities tied to Engineers Week, Lab Day, Chemistry Week and other public and school-based events.
   
• Field a team from your section or chapter to staff the phone bank during your public television station’s fundraising drive and tie your participation to IYC.
