The Fall 2008 DIERS Users Group meeting will be held on October 20 - 22 (Monday to Wednesday) at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Convention Center, 303 Blum Street, San Antonio, TX 78202 (210) 222-9181 Fax: (210) 228-9816 www.LQ.com (Check out the website and enter San Antonio as the location). Room rates for the hotel will be $129 (single / double) plus tax and will apply from Friday (10 / 17) thru Saturday (10 / 25). A full hot breakfast is included with the room rate. Mention the DIERS Users Group to get our rate. The hotel will hold our block of rooms until September 20, 2008. Our rate cannot be guaranteed past the cutoff date. A credit card will be required to register at the hotel. Cancellation of a room less than 48 hours before the scheduled arrival date will incur one night’s room charge. Reserve early and cancel if necessary.
Meeting charges are expected to be approximately $75 per day to cover cost of the coffee breaks, lunches, audiovisual and rental of the meeting room. Please bring sufficient cash.

Speakers and Tutorials are needed for all three dates. I need to issue the agenda by the middle of this July, so please respond ASAP. Call (304) 776-6371 or E-mail fisherhg@suddenlink.net to arrange a presentation. Include Title, Duration, Speakers, and Desired Dates / Times.
The hotel is a high rise in the center of town near to the River Walk dining and entertainment, the Alamo, and shopping.
NOTE: If you register for the meeting and do not cancel by Tuesday (10 / 14 / 08), you will be expected to pay the meeting charges since the DUG must guarantee a fixed amount and pay the hotel.
NOTE: Making early flight arrangements is important to find the best price and available seats on desirable flights.
CCPS Guidelines Book Revision Meeting
A group of volunteers is working to revise the CCPS book “Guidelines for Pressure Relief and Effluent Handling Systems”. The group will meet at the La Quinta Inn & Suites on Wednesday (10 / 22) – 3-5, Thursday (10 / 23) – 8-5, and Friday (10 / 24) – 8-3 (or later depending upon early or late travel). Those affected should register for this portion of the DUG meeting using the registration form.
Elections
In accordance with the bylaws, the membership is notified that elections for the Chair and Secretary / Treasurer will be held on October 21, 2008. Nominations will be from the floor. Voting will be by company with one vote per member company present at the meeting.
