Nikolaj Gadegaard

Nikolaj Gadegaard is currently lecturer in bioelectronics at the University of Glasgow. He received his BSc and MSc from the University of Copenhagen in chemistry and physics, respectively. In 2002 he received his PhD in biophysics from University of Copenhagen and Risø national laboratory. After completing his PhD he moved to Glasgow where he was awarded a fellowship from the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 2003. In 2006 he was appointed lecturer in bioelectronics at the University of Glasgow. He is one of four academic member of the Centre for Cell Engineering where his principal responsibility is the fabrication of patterned substrates. His main research interest is nanofabrication to investigate and solve problems in cell and tissue engineering. Of particular interest is fabrication in three dimensions and the differentiation control of stem cells.
