ABET has approved new criteria for the Accreditation of Chemical and BioX Engineering Programs.  The approved criteria are for chemical, biochemical, biomolecular, and similarly named engineering programs, with AIChE as the lead sociaty.  The criteria also include new criteria for Biological Engineering.  Click here to view this criteria.

SBE offers professional and technical training courses taught by industry experts at selected sites around the country. Some of these courses are offered and organized in conjunction with the American Society for Mechanical Engineers. 

• Biotech courses.

To get the most out of your SBE membership, join us at the AIChE national meetings in the spring and fall seasons.  The fall meeting in 2008 will be held in Philadelphia, PA on November16-21, 2008.  Much of the programming features biotechnology.  Special tutorials will provide education on topics such as "Discovery and Development of Protein Therapeutics."  More details will be coming.
