SBE Conference Series
Partner with other organizations to bring relevant conferences to you. The Society will contribute to bio-related programming at AIChE meetings and disseminate networking and conference information.

SBE Training Initiatives
Fill critical gaps in biological training for chemical engineers and engineering training for scientists. Proposed subjects include: microbial fermentation, recovery, biologic process control, non-engineering courses, and solids handling.

SBE Guidance Projects
Provide a forum for industry members to share best practices in a pre-competitive environment. These programs range from developing industry guidelines and best practices to creating management-level certification program and validation requirements

SBE Info Collaborations
Foster appropriate sharing, standardization, and focus of collective knowledge, benefiting both company and practicing engineer. Activities will include a biological properties database and collection of predictive models.

SBE Activities
Connects industry and academia through support of research and education in biological engineering. Our aim is to inspire future biological engineers through activities like corporate sponsored research grants, scholarships, and student contests.
