Requirements:
- BS (D3/4), MS (D3/4), and/or Ph.D. (D2) degree in biochemistry, immunology, cell/molecular biology, pharmacology, microbiology or related discipline
- At least 2 years postdoctoral research in the field of pattern recognition receptor (NLR, TLS), inflammasome, or apoptosome biology is preferred for the D2 Principal Scientist level
- Prior experience expressing and purifying recombinant proteins is required
- Track record of innovation
- Demonstrated record of accomplishment as evidenced by peer-reviewed publication
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, as evidenced by a publication record and excellence in oral presentations
Job Description:
The Pattern Recognition Receptor Discovery Performance Unit within the Immuno-Inflammation CEDD is focused on translating recent advances in pattern recognition receptor (PRR) biology into innovative new medicines for the treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. We are looking for creative and driven scientists to join our team and utilize their proven expertise in protein expression and purification to discover and develop innovative medicines targeting NLRs. The successful candidate will work with a team of biologists, chemists, and biochemists to generate recombinant proteins and configure functional assays to enable successful drug discovery programmes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required, as is an ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
