Local Sections - Students

Many local sections already know the benefits of connecting with student chapters in their area.  Local sections often invite student chapter members to their section meetings or attend student chapter meetings as speakers or competition judges. 

Here are some ideas on how local sections can connect with student chapters in the region:

• National Engineers Week, February 19-25, 2012
  Local sections have the opportunity to plan educational outreach activities and to raise awareness for the impact Engineers have on society.
  

• Student Programs

• Host a Student Awards Night

• Promote Local Section Membership for Students
  Encourage students to join your local section by expressing the short-and-long term benefits they'll receive as AIChE members. Students that get involved with local sections in college are more likely to become AIChE professional and local section members upon graduation.
