I turn to you our efforts in the organization of the XV Latin American Congress of Chemical Engineering Students (COLAEIQ), "Latin America Towards a Sustainable Development.

Year after year since the creation of I COLAEIQ in Brazil, this event has grown increasingly, for the current year we have the honor to hold this event in our country, El Salvador; were hoping to have an average of 500 foreign students coming from 16 Latin American countries and 300 Salvadoran university students during July 20 to July 24, 2009, who will be involved in various kinds of academic, cultural, recreational and tourism activities as well as creditors of the right to participate in corporate fairs, a copy of the official magazine and daily visits to our official website (www.aleiq.org/colaeiq).

Desiring to extend an invitation to you and prestigious association that represents, to join our efforts to ensure the success of this great event, we request AIChE join in our organizers, placing an article devoted to scientific research conducted by one of the Professional Members of AIChE, or under the theme of the event, "Latin America towards a Sustainable Development", particularly in the theme of Sustainability, we are very interested in the opinion of Hendrick C.
