"Practical Strategies for Managing CO2 Emissions—Today Not Tomorrow"

This SPE/AIChE joint workshop draws on upstream and downstream experts to address the boundary-spanning issues that surround greenhouse gas reduction. This workshop will examine current best practices with an eye toward future applications, both domestically and internationally. Attendees will also explore how to implement the strategies for upstream and downstream energy efficiency, CO2 capture, and sequestration. Scientists, engineers, and managers from both industry and academia will share ideas and solutions for executing practical strategies and lessons learned in the arenas of technology, policy, and regulation.

Through brief, informal case studies followed by extended discussion, this workshop will create an atmosphere in which attendees may raise questions and arrive at solutions for the realistic application of CO2 reduction strategies.
