T5 - Topical Conference: 10th International Conference on Microreaction Technology (IMRET-10)
Topical Overview: The series of International Conferences on Microreaction Technology (IMRET) started in 1997 with IMRET 1 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Since then nine IMRET conferences have been organized alternately in Europe by DECHEMA and in North America by AIChE.IMRET 10 is organized under the umbrella of the Process Development Group (PDD) at AIChE and dedicated to applied and commercial investigations of micro process technology.A special Panel Discussion will explore progress in the commercialization of micro process technology.
You will learn about the following topics:
- How the synthesis of fine chemicals and Active Pharmaceutical Intermediates (APIs) make use of micro process technology.
- The field of polyreactions in microreactors.
- The implementation of catalyzed and enzymatical processes in microstructured devices.
- Energy generation with microstructured devices and the work in the fuel processing area for fuel cells.
- The use of micro process technology for multiphase reactions and the generation of dispersions and foams.
- The preparation of particles and functional materials using microstructured devices.
- Applications of microstructured devices for separation processes.
- Characterization and simulation of processes carried out in microstructured devices and of themselves.
- The applications of micro process technology in the field of mixing, mass transfer and heat exchange.
- How micro process technology can benefit from better sensing and process analytics and in turn leads to improved designs.
- Unusual ways of processing using Novel Process Windows enabled by micro process technology.
